Beara Camping

near Kenmare, County Kerry, Munster

A small family-run site in the heart of the Ring of Beara, twelve kilometres from Kenmare.

Why we love it

The Ring of Beara is what the Ring of Kerry was before the coaches found it — narrower, emptier, and arguably better. This is a small family-run site twelve kilometres out of Kenmare, with a campers' kitchen, pitches for tents and vans, and a few cabins.

Open mid-April to mid-October.

Best for: driving the Beara slowly, which is the only way it can be driven

Worth knowing

  • Dogs are not allowed if you are in a tent — they are only accepted with caravans and camper vans.
  • Arrivals are taken between 3pm and 9pm only.
