Camping Oto

Oto, Huesca, The Pyrenees

Family-run in a stone village in the Aragonese Pyrenees, ten kilometres from Ordesa.

Why we love it

Oto is a small stone village in the Ara valley, and the campsite is in it rather than on a bypass outside it — which changes the character of an evening considerably. Ten kilometres away is the Parque Nacional de Ordesa y Monte Perdido, the Spanish Pyrenees' great glacial trench and one of the oldest national parks in Europe.

Family-run, and a sensible base for a week of walking rather than a single day trip.

Best for: Ordesa, and the villages around it
