Worth knowing

  • Burning firewood on site is prohibited — sparks are a fire risk to the nearby forests — so it is charcoal chimineas and small barbecues only.
  • The gates to the caravan and camping areas are closed between 11pm and 7am.
  • Noise must be kept low from 9pm and silent from 11pm to 7am, and alcohol may only be drunk on your own pitch or in the licensed premises.

Roughly a forty-five minute walk from Fort William — follow the road up the glen, it is paved all the way. Shiel Buses run from Fort William bus station to Glen Nevis six times a day in summer and twice daily from mid-October to mid-May. ScotRail runs from Glasgow to Fort William and the Caledonian Sleeper direct from London; Inverness is the nearest airport, seventy miles away. Postcode PH33 6SX.
