Teapot Lane

Tawley, County Leitrim, Connacht

Three domes and a treehouse in five acres of woodland where Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal meet.

Why we love it

Teapot Lane opened in June 2010, which makes it one of the first glamping sites in Ireland and older than most of the industry that followed it. Five acres of woodland on the meeting point of three counties, the coast six kilometres away, and a deliberately small offer: three domes, a treehouse and a cottage for anyone who has decided glamping is not for them after all.

Adults only. The treehouse takes dogs and has a potbelly stove, and the whole site is entirely self-catering — the nearest shop is a ten-minute drive to Grange or Bundoran, so arrive with the car loaded.

Best for: couples who want woodland and no children
