A deliberately small nature site with a limited number of pitches, bookable direct.
Why we love it
The selling point is the cap on numbers: a small site that limits how many people are on it at once, which in a Norwegian summer — when the roadside sites along the E134 fill by four in the afternoon — is worth more than any facility.
Cabins, camper spots and motel rooms, all bookable directly rather than through an agency.
Best for: knowing there will be room, and that it will be quiet when you get there
Worth knowing
- No tent pitches at all this year — the operator says so on its own home page and again on its price list.
- The wifi is free but, in the operator's words, due to the remote location coverage isn't always great.
- There is no chemical-toilet emptying point, and reception opens for only three short windows a day — 9–10, 15–16 and 19–20; after that you let yourself in with a code lock.
