Camping Lido

Capoliveri, Livorno, Tuscany

Family-run since 1997, directly on the sand at Lido di Capoliveri on Elba.

Why we love it

Elba is close enough to the Tuscan mainland for a ferry from Piombino and far enough to feel like a proper island. Capoliveri is the hill town on the southeastern corner, and this small site sits below it directly on the beach, shaded by pine, holm oak and eucalyptus.

Pitches for tents and vans, plus bungalows and apartments — small, but with a range.

Best for: an island week where the beach is the campsite
