Finn Lough

Lough Erne, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland's most famous stay: transparent bubble domes where you stargaze from a four-poster bed on a private Lough Erne shoreline.

Why we love it

Northern Ireland's most famous stay: transparent bubble domes where you stargaze from a four-poster bed on a private Lough Erne shoreline. A forest spa trail winds between lakeside saunas and hot tubs; boats and bikes are included. The flagship of the Fermanagh Lakelands. Book direct.

Best for: stargazing under glass

Worth knowing

  • Guests must be sixteen or over — Finn Lough does not accommodate children — and it is not pet friendly.
  • The 50 per cent deposit is non-refundable, and a cancellation inside 72 hours of arrival is charged in full; cancel earlier and you get a voucher valid two years, not your money back.
  • It is genuinely remote: half an hour's drive from Enniskillen or Donegal, two hours from Belfast, two and a half from Dublin, and the nearest public transport leaves you a fifteen-minute taxi away at Belleek.
