Fagervik Camping

Vikebukt, Møre og Romsdal, Fjord Norway

A terraced site running seven hundred metres along the edge of the Tresfjord, with a sauna on the water.

Why we love it

Terraces cut into the slope above the Tresfjord, spread along seven hundred metres of shoreline, so the pitches look down the water rather than at each other. Eight cabins, plus space for tents and vans.

There is a sauna by the fjord — bookable a day ahead — a bathing dock, boats for hire and a proper campers' kitchen with a stove and a freezer. Åndalsnes and the Trollstigen road are within easy reach.

Best for: a base for the Romsdal fjords with somewhere to swim off

Worth knowing

  • Every cabin carries a two-night minimum in high season, 30 May to 20 August.
  • Cabin Four has its own toilet but the shower is shared, in the sanitary building by reception.
  • No animals and no smoking in cabins Two, Three and Four.
